Sterling silver, hinged cuff bracelet created by Michael John Jerry of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Bracelet is finely constructed and measures about 5.75″ to 6″ in circumference, so it would be best worn on a small wrist. Width tapers from .50″ up to 2.25″. Signed M. Jerry, Sterling along with the artists hallmark. In very good condition.
Jerry was born in Detroit, Michigan and completed his undergraduate study in Jewelry and Metalsmithing at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, and Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. He graduated with an MFA in Jewelry Metalsmithing from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1963 and was a professor at the School of Art and Design, Syracuse University. In 2010 he received the award of Master Metalsmith from the Metal Museum in Memphis, Tennessee.
