Art Deco Goddess of Architecture Sculpture
Magnificent sculpture of The Goddess of Architecture – a semi-nude standing woman holding a skyscraper in one hand and The Coit Tower in the other. Strength and Beauty personified, she was probably a maquette for a larger sculpture – possibly from the World’s Fair of San Francisco – The Golden Gate Exposition – 1939. Made of a heavy density plaster with a hard glaze, she stands on a more recent brass platform.
Measures: 46″ tall with platform x 16″ wide x 12″ deep
