Warren McArthur Club Chairs – 1930s
SOLD! When most 1930's furniture designers were working with tubular chrome, Warren McArthur focused on creating designs in brushed aluminum. All intersecting parts were finished with various decorative "knuckle" joints, both functional and beautiful. Legs were finished with black rubber feet, another McArthur trademark design. This pair of club chairs are exceptional early examples from the Park Avenue New York showroom. The frames feature both circular tubing and rectangular bars, to great effect. Both chairs retain original decals and paper identification labels. Fabric is also original, but shows wear, fading and some staining.
