Paul Frankl Cork Bedroom Set – Johnson Furniture

SOLD!Although Paul Frankl started his career in 1920’s New York with “skyscraper” furniture, his greatest success came from his later California designs for Brown-Saltman and Johnson Furniture Company. He utilized new materials in furniture design, such as combed wood and cork.
Our set was made by Johnson just after the war, and reflects Frankl’s optimistic and clean design vision. We have completely refinished the set, and it looks amazing! All cork surfaces are natural tones, and the drawer fronts are ebonized. The hardware is solid brass, with cork inserts. The legs are all tipped in brass.
