1900’s Blanket Trunk – Hope Chest – Parquetry

On Hold! Elsa Ritter must have been the apple of someone's eye, as much love and care went into the construction of her wooden Hope chest. The body of the chest is created by joining multiple pieces of mahogany and maple woods, and reinforced with beautiful hammered metal corners. Inside, the lid is cedar lined. We are also including Elsa's Certificate of Confirmation, listing a date of 1919, and a birthdate of 1904. There is also a photo of her in a wedding party, date unknown. The trunk is in very fine original condition, quite strong and sturdy.
