Paul Williams Custom Built Bar from Bel Air California Residence
Paul Revere Williams (1894-1980) was an American architect with a very fruitful career spanning decades. It is notable that he was an African American, a rarity in a field dominated by whites at the time. His designs included many public buildings, as well as private residences for clients such as Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Lon Cheney, and Barbara Stanwyck. This wonderful bar came from a Williams residence in Bel Air, California. It was original to the 1930s home and removed in a recent renovation. It can be built into a corner, with access through the hinged bar top, or left open ended, as shown. The back wall features elaborately etched mirror panels, split from mirrored panels below. The interior has ample storage and display space, including an area for a standing bar refrigerator or wine cooler. There is a stainless steel sink as well. The ceiling is fitted for two small spot lights, and a large opening to hang the chandelier of your choice. The chandelier pictured is not included with the bar, but is available separately on my site. The bar is sold in its' original found condition, or can be custom renovated for an additional cost.
