Evelyn Ackerman Panelcarve Wall Sculpture 1963
Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman teamed together to help create the “California Modern” movement of the 1950s. Their designs incorporated natural materials like ceramics, woven tapestries, and wood carvings. The Jerev company evolved into ERA industries, as the demand grew for the decorative and architectural items. These panels, created in 1963 and titled “Castles”, were part of the Panelcarve series of redwood wall sculptures. They were modular panels with a tongue and groove detail to be easily assembled for architectural and interior design applications. We have joined 8 panels into a singular wall hanging element. A painted frame has been added for a finished effect All panels are stamped Panelcarve on the reverse sides. Additional panels are available to accommodate your needs for a larger mural – call for details.
