1950’s Gio Ponti Sterling Silver Flatware Service for 8
This beautifully executed sterling silver set was designed by renowned Italian master Gio Ponti. Dubbed the “Diamond” pattern for its' unique form, the silver was produced by the American firm Reed and Barton in 1958. Our set consists of: Ten large forks, ten salad forks, eight oyster forks, eight soup spoons, eight tea spoons, eight demitasse spoons, eight knives, and eight butter knives. The set also includes various serving pieces, which include: a cake knife, a cheese knife, a butter knife, a soup ladle, two large serving spoons, a large serving fork, and a smaller pointed condiment spoon. All pieces are marked “Reed Barton Sterling”, and come in a traditional dark stained period wooden box. The set is in excellent original condition.
