1930’s Historic Coca Cola Bottling Plant Bldg Concrete Sign
One would be hard pressed to find a more iconic, or impressive example of American advertising art! This spectacular sign once graced the entrance of a north Texas bottling plant, demolished many years ago. Fortunately, the multi sectional sign was painstakingly extracted from the structure before the wrecking ball hit! The dimensional sign is made up of 34 pieces, comprising the field and frame elements. Each section is molded of Texas concrete, which is a sand colored aggregate. The condition is very nice and original, having weathered a half century of exterior exposure. There are a few minor chips on some edges, but nothing structurally major. The sign could be used in a variety of ways, from a hillside retaining wall to a fantastic dining or conference table, or even built back into a great wall again!
