Late 1800s French Guillotine Cigar Cutter

A more dramatic form of execution had never been experienced when the guillotine was introduced in France in the late 1700s. Likewise, the smaller cigar cutting version elicits the same wonder! The tabletop device is incredibly effective, and the lead weighted blade easily clips the tips of your favourite smokes. The wooden structure has a fantastic aged patina, natural to a functioning item of this period. By depressing the brass handle on the side, the blade drops to the bottom of its track. It is returned to position by pulling the cotton string, and locking the blade back in place. These are quite rare and collectible.
